Emma Rachael Gamber was born in Pennsylvania on August 22, 1862 and died at her home in Havelock on May 29, 1932 at age sixty nine years nine months seven days. She moved to Dallas County Iowa as a child, married Smith J. Cole on July 2, 1885, lived in Rippey briefly, then settled in Havelock forty years ago with her husband. She was the mother of ten children, all of whom survived her.
