Pelican Hatchingsfilmed on Bird Island by Perry Sherman
Corpus Christi Times reports a baby pelican will star as the hero in The Coming Out Party filmed Sunday at Bird Island near Birdsland. Perry Sherman, Swafford, Golla and doctors Palmer Webb, faced a wade and boat slog to reach the island, capturing closeups of nests and hatchings before the season ends. The island, about a mile long, hosts annual sea fowl brooding.
