Asbury Sunday School Class Hosts Preme Dinner at Park
The Asbury Sunday School class gathered at the park for their annual preme dinner with about 15 present. Hostesses were Mrs. Plassie DeVaui and Mrs. Nellie Brinkman. A sprial hour followed the dinner. A bridal shower was held at Rolfe Presbyterian church parlors for Miss Jeanne Savery, who wed Thomas Cassievens the following day. Corsages were given to Jeanne, her mother, the groom’s grandmother, Rev. Fis, and Helen Havers of Fayesie Ma.

Odebolt anglers reel big paddle fish on South Dakota trip
Carl Linster Earl McFarland Jr Floyd Rex and Raymond Lange of Odebolt report a successful paddle fish outing in South Dakota catching their limit. The fish with smooth mouths and no teeth lay on the lake bottom as weighted hooks dragged the bottom to snag them. The largest weighed 30 pounds. In Irwin 14 year old Dean Axland owns the mare whose twin colts were born, a 100000 to 1 possibility with both colts living.
