Lunen was served by Mrs Olson as Vacation Bible School closed with a program Friday evening. About 23 enrolled, 20 attended on average. handwork exhibits adorned church parlors. teachers included Mrs Cooksey Esther Gehrt and Marguerite Bradbury with various assistants. Mrs Graves led as superintendent. Lutheran Ladies Aid met with hostesses Mrs LeRoy Larsen Mrs Harold Williams and Mrs Virgil Williams and discussed purchasing an electric roaster.

Attending clubs include Bellville, Cummins, Des Moines, Dover, Grant, Lake, Lizard, Powhatan, and others with several clubs not reporting delegates yet.
The 8 day gathering centers on the Through 4 H theme drawing more than 1 000 Iowa 4 H Club boys to participate in a broad program of activities and exhibitions.
Pocahontas county farmers are invited to the Iowa State College agricultural engineering field day at the college research farm eight miles south of Ames. Activities begin at 9:00 a.m. and feature demonstrations of new farm machines and ongoing research in farm structures machinery and soil and water management.
