Battery of startling power drives plot on mountainside
Larry Davenport, an author, invents a powerful electric battery and meets Grimstead on a California mountainside after his car breaks down. Grimstead persuades Davenport to sign an agreement to develop and market the battery. Gardiner, Grimstead's aide, drafts the contract and plots profit over Davenport's ideals.
