Experiments in Scottsbluff Nebraska show farm prices in the United sit rising above pre war parity for the first time since 1995 7 Alfalfa and sugar beets consume more water than potatoes oats and hay. The cattle on feed in the corn belt on Jan 1 was 28 percent smaller than a year earlier and about 10 percent below Jan 1935 due to drought. The Iowa 1987 corn yield tag forecasts one of the largest tests in history with many hybrids received and out of state entries outnumbering last year.
