4-H Livestock and Crop Judging Summer Series Planned
Kenneth Bauge announces older 4-H boys will join livestock and crop judging workouts this summer at Pocahontas Farm Bureau building. First livestock session June 1 featured dairy cattle and fat lamb slides with reasons review. crop judging followed June 6 at Pocahontas. Teams of four will be chosen later to compete at the state fair. clubs enrolled include Dohak Reavers Cedar Leaders Swan rae Lincoln Feeders and Des Moines Livewires. Three Hereford heifers born near Lake Park weigh 36, 40, and 40 pounds and are thriving.
