Shadle pleads not guilty in Pocahontas murder case
Dorman Dean Shadle, 25, entered a not guilty plea in Pocahontas District Court to an open murder charge. He was arrested Friday with two BCI officers for the shotgun slaying of Michael Lee Westphal, 22, of Fort Dodge, whose body was found at Lizard Lake on March 5, 1977. Bail set at 50,000. no trial date yet.
