Miami Visit Described as Magic City Arrival
The account recalls a warm welcome to Miami with a 10 000 strong crowd at Royal Palm Park and an address by William J. Bryan. It notes Miami’s rapid growth since Flagler built the hotel, the modern skyline, manatee and rainbow fish at the aquarium, and a trip across Biscayne Bay to Miami Beach with views of islands made by sand pumping. The Flamingo hotel’s prestige and next season’s bookings are mentioned.
