Two young men in a car from Burley to Scottdale witness a horrific midnight crash with a southbound truck. A woman driver is crushed between the car and a wheel as moonlit bluff country and shattered glass frame the tragic scene.
Forbes and Scoots Libbey flee the wreck of a booze truck after a crash on the river road near Scottdale. The driver, intoxicated, is believed to have killed a woman as Forbes contemplates police pursuit and eventual confrontation with Constable Wooton.
The notice warns participants of a civil action at Pocahontas District Court beginning August 29, 1927. It states Helen and others hold fractional claims and that no personal claim exists except T H Bailey and Cora Bailey. Defendants must answer by the next term or default and judgment will be entered. Robert Bruce is attorney for the plea.
