Funeral services for Lund Pieratt in Laurens

Lund Pieratt age 53 farmer died after a several days illness at Lutheran hospital Fort Dodge on Sunday. Funeral services were held at 1 30 from his home and 2 30 at the Christian church in Laurens with burial at that place. He is survived by a wife and three children. Havelock Ladies Aid met at the Methodist church with gifts exchanged for June July August birthdays. Several residents visited relatives and former residents over the weekend. I O O F lodge held a regular meeting with 11 members and three guests present. Various local visits and travels are noted, including Laurens residents visiting Skein relatives and friends and minor home improvements.

The Up and Coming 4-H Club gathered at Medium Lake in Emmetsburg on Wednesday July 19 for a picnic hosted by Marvella Ralle and her mother. Members brought covered dishes and enjoyed roller skating and swimming before lunch. The next meeting is set for August 9 at Marcella Stoulil’s home.
