Local Havelock Notes Stir With Social and Family Travel
Last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chris ters of the King's Heralds a picnic occurred at Mrs. George Johnson’s farm. Several local families, including Millers from Cedar Rapids and Royal, were summoned by the critical illness and passing of Mrs. C. W. Miller. Visitors toured Black Hills sites and attended funerals in Havelock and Pocahontas.

Rev C L Day notes Sunday services at Havelock Methodist Church with Church School at 10 and Morning Worship at 11. During July and August there will be open air evening services at various farm homes with meeting places announced weekly.

Mrs. C. W. Miller Dies in Havelock After Illness
Mrs. C W Miller of Havelock died Friday August 14 at her home following a cancer illness. She leaves seven children six sons and one daughter all graduates of the local high school and pursuing college. She was a member of the Havelock Methodist church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Methodist church with many attendants. The community mourns the loss of a generous neighbor.
