Trailblazer Photographer Earned Yellowstone’s Fame
William H. Jackson, not the first to view Yellowstone, helped preserve its wonders as a pioneering photographer. Starting in 1871 with bulky gear, he captured Old Faithful, Dragon's Mouth, Morning Glory Pool, and Yellowstone Lake. His images helped Congress establish the first National Park, now spanning 3,742 square miles.

Coal and hog trades and a Warm Morning stove offer
Local note mentions Wesley Lehnus buying five tons of Mayflower coal with hog proceeds. It jokes about bigamy, hog troughs, and strong pigs. Art Erickson builds a ling hog crib Avanary on Arlo Ives farm. Coal shortages loom, urging stockpiling before transport limits bite. A Warm Morning stove promises efficient heating and four price models.
