John H Williams, longtime Pocahontas County pioneer, died Saturday February 23 1929 at his daughter’s Des Moines home where he wintered. He had been ill for months. His body was sent to Havelock for funeral services held Tuesday. An obituary will run next week.

The report of the commissioners for Drainage District No. 126 of Pocahontas County Iowa, listing owners tracts and lands with apportioned assessment amounts, is on file in the County Auditor's office. A hearing before the Board of Supervisors is set for April 1 1929 at 1:30 p.m. at the Pocahontas Courthouse to approve modify or deny the report. objections must be in writing before the hearing.

Public Auction Aims to Satisfy Writ of Execution in Rolfe
The property of J K Lemon and Hattie M Lemon in Rolfe Iowa is to be sold at public auction to the highest bidder for cash to satisfy a writ of execution issued from Pocahontas County District Court in favor of I P Fisher. Sheriff Chas Stebbins notes description includes parts of Blocks 29 and 30 in the 4th Addition to Rolfe. The sale date is recorded as February 6 1929. Curtis Delle is appointed administrator of the estate of C C Delle deceased with claims notices set for payment or filing as required by law.
