Blue-Gold Banquet Brings Cub Scouts Webelos Families Together
The Blue-Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts Webelos and families was held Friday February 21 in the school lunchroom with about 150 attendees. Marshall Farley led Webelos prayers, Curtis Kerns led singing, and the Kerns quartet performed. District Scout Executive Dave Barsner demonstrated proper neckerchief wear and discussed recruitments. Mrs. David Brinkman gave an illustrative talk on Indian life. Scouts presented items from a Genius Kit and their dads displayed projects. Awards honored Webelos and Cub Scouts. Mr. Richard Schott received a gift of appreciation. Den mothers listed include several local ladies. the group is sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary and includes 45-50 boys.

The Pocahontas County Livestock Feeders Association will hold its annual banquet Monday night March 2 at 6 30 p.m. at St Peter's Lutheran Church Pocahontas.
