Eva Buck visited Denison Tuesday evening for a social gathering with friends. The Methodist church group, 31 members strong, met Thursday for entertainment led by Dean Sandy and others. Sunday honored couple Mr. and Mrs. John Fokken at a silver wedding anniversary dinner with family present. A surprise party for Ernest Rutgers and George Hawk followed a dinner hosted by Richard Meredith. Fourth grade notes cover reading units about famous people and history, arithmetic, and English, while Homemaking classes explored baking, sponge cake making, and child care reflections with class photos and anecdotes.

Friends honor prize winners at rural club meeting
The Friendly club met at Mrs. C. B. Perry’s rural home on Tuesday February 12 for an all day gathering. Twenty members with families shared a 12:80 dinner and awarded high score prizes to Mrs. Louis Krischel and Leo Johnson, low scores to Mrs. Warren Clark and Theo Johnson, while Claude Dailey received the traveling prize. Lonch was served.
