Needle and Thread Club Set Meeting At Home

The Needle and Thread Club will meet this Friday at the home of Mrs. Louis Wilson with assistant hostesses Mrs. Earl Firkins and Mrs. Francis Forey. Mrs. W. L. McIntire hosted an oyster stew for the Junior high basketball squad and coach Ralph Smith at her home on Monday. Warren Young of Muscatine visited his uncle J. T. Grant over the weekend. The Sorosis club held a one oclock luncheon Thursday at the home of Mrs. F. E. Grant with Mesdames Peterson Hauck Gunderson Brinkman and Wiegman assisting.

Howland suffers heart attack and facial injury at home

Twenty five years ago W H Howland sustained a cheekbone and eye injury after a mild heart attack caused him to fall and strike his face on a chair at his residence Saturday evening. Guy B Graham of Pioneer visited town Monday to see relatives and friends and to have his dog treated by his brother Dr L M Graham. The Happy Ramblers Card Club held a party at a local residence.
