Robin Pedersen observed her first birthday February 9 with family visiting and a Sunday gathering. Open House at Pocahontas County Historical Society Museum drew 126 visitors focusing on Ware School artifacts and loan policies. A L D members met Emma Diggs. Mary Joy Roberts led word and song, with fifteen members and one guest sharing birthplace origins and a salad supper.
Edina resident Shari Feldman spent the weekend with her parents Dr and Mrs L W Feldman. Guests joined Mr and Mrs Hohensee in Pocahontas for a 72nd birthday. Several families and friends visited homes in Gowrie Fort Dodge and Des Moines, with Curt Pederson starting work in Fort Dodge. A Tuesday meeting opened with Laura in place of the president, including roll call clues flag ceremony and friendship circle.
The Plover Community Club sponsors a Chili and Oyster Soup and Cherry Pie supper at the Plover Town Hall on Sunday evening February 20. Serving to start at 4:00 p.m. Proceeds support Powers Funeral Home and local activities.
