Pocahontas Iowa January 18 1927 board met in regular session with all members present. Officials appointed include Wm F Erbes as Cedar township constable and Robert J Kent as Clinton township justice of the peace. Auditor’s quarterly report approved. treasurer’s balance shown as 307285.96 with funds deployed. Refunding of Drainage District 181 bonds approved. Gilmore Exchange Bank tax refund of 1765.82 approved. Official county newspapers designated Pocahontas Democrat and Rolve Arrow for 1927.
