Parish groups report fund transfer and events at St. Margarets
St Margaret s Rosary Society met February 3 in the parish hall with a 6 30 potluck and Father Coyle present. A 1000 transfer to the Furnace Fund was voted and plans were made to improve the library and assist the Senior Citizens Club. Prizes were awarded in 500 with Reckard and Diederich among winners. The A L D Club met February 2 at Esther Pierce s home with discussion on drug abuse and federation notes. Earl Hudson s 78th birthday was celebrated February 5 with a party at the Hudson home and relatives in attendance. Tuesday Club met February 2 at Joe Perkins home. Federation history program was given by Telmer Sime with a film. Refreshments were served.

February 2 Party at Boeckholt Home and Baptism News
The report notes a February 2 afternoon gathering at the Boeckholt home with Jeff Dirks Mike Nelson Darrin Johnson Missy Wendy Paula Bennett and Troy Boeckholt joining after school. Randy Scott infant son of DeLane and Mrs Larsen was baptized January 30 after the St Margaret's Mass. Rev Jerome Coyle officiated with Teresa Baker Karl Yuska godparents. A Larsen supper followed with the godparents and Randy's grandparents LeRoy and Ed Baker in attendance. The Rolfe Progressive Club met February 2 with eight members present. Music by Mrs Strickfaden and a lesson on pollution for schools were featured.

Father Jerome Coyle conducted Sunday afternoon worship with assistance from Mrs Mayme Shim Mrs W G Taylor and Mrs Goldie Luft. On Wednesday February 3 Girls Scouts led by Mrs David Brinkman and Mrs Dick Bennett gave a program and table favors. Residents spending Sunday with families included Mrs Hazel Newman Mrs Mary Peterson Mrs Rose Diedsrich and Telmer Sime with out of town callers from Manson Palmer Des Moines including Harm Helmers Walter McCalpin Janis Ferguson and Marlys Simpson.
