Girl Scout Troop News and Leaders in Rolfe Community
The Y W Club funds support Rolfe Girl Scout groups with 28 girls in the Intermediate and Senior programs. Six from the previous year moved to Senior and 17 remain in Intermediate, totaling 23 plus leaders and committee members paying dues. Leaders include Miss Cora Pollock, Miss Bobbie Beck for Intermediate and Mrs. Jean Wiegman for Seniors. Committee members are Mrs. Byrle Erickson, Mrs. Barbara Wickie, Mrs. Dorothy Turley, Mrs. Edythe Slattenow, and Mrs. Emma Swan. The Intermediate meeting featured a Personal Grooming talk by Joy Wilcox and crafts, with a Frisky report by Sue Nicoson. Senior Scouts met at Betty Pedersen’s home, passed the Scout Promise, and planned a candy and popcorn sale for Feb 25 with leather craft projects planned. Mrs. August Tiepermann, longtime church organist, missed the Christmas Eve service for the first time in 53 years due to illness.
