Several groups held holiday gatherings on December 16 18 and 19 including the Bon Ton bridge club P.A.E. club Sorosis club Justamere bridge club and VFW Auxiliary. Events featured dessert luncheons gift exchanges caroling and a family Christmas observance with Santa visits and dinners.
A brief note of gratitude to friends and neighbors for cards gifts and visits during a stay at Lutheran Hospital Art DeVaul g42-1 expresses appreciation for support and kindness shown during recovery.
The Methodist Church lists services and activities led by Pastor H. V. The Asbury Class of the Methodist church held its monthly social at the George Majorowicz residence with about 80 members present. Mrs Fred Nelson received a lovely blanket and the group exchanged white elephant gifts while contributing to a CARE box for a European minister. Mr and Mrs L C Olney assisted hosts.
Kenneth Willingham F 1/c recently joyed as Jack Pringle S 1/c came aboard the USS Duluth for duty. The pair entered the Navy together, separated in October 1945 and met again in August 1947. Now in Yokosuka Japan they plan to go to China soon and expect to be home in June.
Miss Inga Ryen and Mrs. Robert Wiegert host an open house in the Spanglers honor at the Ryen home. The event is Saturday December 27 from 1:30 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to call.
William DeWolf thanks many friends for their cards gifts and calls during his hospital stay. The message expresses gratitude for kindness and support shown by those who remembered him.
