Alvin Hansen of Rolfe sustained a severe thumb injury while sawing wood at the Kinseth property in Bradgate and received care from Dr. T. S. Clark.

New Skelly Oil Station Opens with Festive Opening
Skelly Oil Co. held an official opening at its new super service station on Saturday. Guests enjoyed doughnuts coffee candy and cigars as 50 dozen doughnuts 350 cups of coffee four boxes of cigars and six boxes of candy were served. The station sold 900 gallons of gas during the opening.

Mrs Helen Horner of Sioux Rapids, daughter of Rolfe Horner, married Dr Paul Howard Liljestrand of Clinton New York in a Sioux Rapids church wedding. They departed for Seattle then San Francisco to sail to Honolulu for a 18 month internship, later possibly heading to China as medical missionaries for the Methodist board.
