School reports cover vocational plans at district conference in Fort Ridgely and pep meetings. Also district court notices discuss probate of a will and a tax sale redemption deadline for Pocahontas property.
The district court for Pocahontas County Iowa holds case No 2388 for the probate of the will of Emmett S Meech deceased dated September 28 1922. A hearing is fixed for January 10 1939 at the Pocahontas Iowa courthouse to prove the instrument as the deceased’s last will and testament.
Mr and Mrs Jennings and their child occupy rooms above the former telephone office in Bradgate. The town also held a school carnival on Friday, bringing residents together for a community event.
Evening crowd from Rolfe Pocahontas and Gilmore City enjoyed a successful night of basketball as D M T players lost two games. A postnuptial shower honored Pearl Brooks later Mrs Guber with gifts. Attendance at Epworth league rally and Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid gathering noted. Death of former Bradgate resident Mrs R G Hammond reported with Saturday funeral.
Loretta Shaw and Harlan Worster were married December 10 at the Methodist parsonage in Rutland with Rev Williams officiating in a single ring ceremony. Attending were the groom’s brother and sister in law Laurel and Mrs Worster of Bradgate. The couple plans to reside on the Charlie McNeal farm near Bradgate.
