Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid held its annual Norwegian dinner and bazaar at the Johnson home with readings by Miss Verna Ryen and officer elections. Many clubs celebrated with bridge, birthday parties, and carol singing at homes of Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Cook, and others amid Christmas decorations.

W F La Grange announces the herdsmen course at Iowa State College will run January 3 to March 22 1945. Offered annually since 1918 the program provides practical livestock and crop production training with emphasis on modern agricultural methods. Veterans from Pocahontas County and other farm boys may find the short course adaptable to their needs.
