In Pocahontas County Cow Testing Association 283 cows were on test in November including 70 dry. Average production rose to 4701 lbs of milk and 17.2 lbs butterfat. Twenty cows yielded 40+ lbs fat. High herds include a 23 cow purebred Holstein herd at Rockwell City Reformatory with 828 lbs milk and 26.9 lbs fat. Other top producers listed with owner names and locations.

O. U. R. Club meets. Forsythe returns from travels
The O. U. R. Club gathered Tuesday evening December 6 with a fine lunch and a warm reception. Mrs. Forsythe came back from a month visiting her sister in Byron Wisconsin and her daughter in Homewood Illinois, traveling with Mrs. Sarber and Charles. They also visited a cousin in Milwaukee and then Rolfe before returning. Mrs. Sarber marks her first return to the old town in fourteen years. Meanwhile Geo O Hauck and spouse traveled to Woodward to see the Chesterman sisters and learned Marie was at home while Mr Lemon near full recovery from last summer’s automobile accident. Mrs. Ben Green and daughter Ruby are now working in Woodward.
