A town driver known for sharp left turns from the curb collided with a fast moving unseen car. Years of risky practice culminated in a fatal crash as the light truck was struck on the driver's side and driven 80 feet down the highway. The driver died shortly after.
Ames Singers to perform Handel Messiah in ISU Gym
Bruce Fisher of Rolfe is among 400 Iowa State College Festival Chorus members who will perform Handel’s Messiah at the Iowa State Gymnasium at 3 p m Sunday. The program features 22 numbers including Comfort Ye My People and four airs. The chorus closes with the Hallelujah Chorus.
