An Iowa report by J A Woodruff urges consolidation to improve rural schools. It cites Marathon in Buena Vista County as a success, discusses transportation and cost, and notes state aid laws shaping new districts across Clay, Dickinson, Humboldt, Wright, Hardin, Marshall, Fayette, and Shelby counties.
