109 years ago Steve Blair, 14, of West Bend, shot a 164 yard hole in one on the Rolfe Golf Course at City Park on Friday August 18. Lutheran Church officials visit city for partnership meeting
Rev Fred Jacobsen Telme Sime Henry Wickie and Andrew Simonson traveled to Minneapolis for St Pauls Lutheran Church business. Hans Ryen arrived from Chicago by motorcycle to Rolfe and was joined by his wife traveling by train. Several girls attended Lutheran Bible Camp at Lake Okoboji and local residents joined weekend activities. Eloise Hewlett Nan Peterson attended the State Home Economics Conference at Ames representing Rolfe school. Potted plants were stolen from the Graeber residence and nearby.
