Avery 4 H Achievement Day and local club reports
The Avery Good Luck 4 H club held Achievement Day at the school with judges Mrs Bratland Ottosen and Mrs Day near Gilmore. 77 entries and three demonstration teams presented shows including A Frozen Meal for Better Living Just Rolls and Drop and Bake. Mrs Webber of Gilmore and Mrs Wehrspann of Ottosen attended with family members. Lunch was served by hostesses. The Lutheran Ladies Aid met at the church parlors with Rev Anderson leading devotions on The Miracle of the Healing of the Nobleman's Son. Delegates to district WMS were discussed. Aid Harlan Schultz injured his leg in a prior summer car accident. his parents consulted a doctor who x rayed the leg. Martin Fry and niece Helen Mitchell visited in the Glenn Nelson home. Mrs Sicile Williams of Des Moines spent the weekend with her mother Mrs John Henderson.
