Richard Schott promoted to motor machinist mate first class and soon to be transferred to Honolulu. A strong wind damaged several hog sheds at Everett Burns home, tearing one down and blowing two into the road. Miss Marguerite Bradbury is ill and unable to go to the store. Mrs Frank Dailey assisting. Alvin J Riches and Donald F Shimon among 127 Iowa cadets in preflight training at San Antonio aviation cadet center Texas.

LeRoy Miller and his Twilight Serenaders played a dance in Havelock last week. Earl Fisher brought home a new three ton Reo truck from Lansing with sleeping compartment, using the same semi trailer. A spill at Bradgate's Quaker Oats elevator dumped about 5 000 bushels of shelled corn and damaged the shelter over the dump.
