Whippet races planned for Iowa State Fair
Des Moines officials announce more than 100 whippet dogs from Canada to the Midwest enter the first speed events at the Iowa State Fair running August 25 through September 3. Seven whippet races daily across six days begin Saturday August 28 with entries from cities including Boston Baltimore Louisville Cleveland New York Omaha and St. Louis.
