Drying and Brining Demonstrations Held in Iowa State Experiments
Mrs. Eva C. Duncan of Iowa State College conducted drying and brining demonstrations in Pocahontas Rolfe and Laurens on August 5 and 6. The sessions covered extending home preserved foods by drying and brining, especially where canning and freezing are Limited. Demonstrations included drying corn and apples kraut and other fruits and vegetables and how to prepare them for the table. Further demonstrations may follow in Palmer and Fonda if interest exists.

Gloria Delle and Dorothy Jones were named demonstration team for the fair. Arliss Halligan led a courtesy number and the group sang America and Battle Hymn before lunch.
