Amvets Auxiliary Elects Officers For 1968 69
Amvets Auxiliary held its 1968 69 officer election on July 25 in the Iowa Electric Light and Power recreation room with 12 members and 3 guests present. Officers elected were Mrs. Howard Sandy president Mrs. Mareil Wilson vice president Mrs. P. L. Strong secretary and Mrs. Harry Thompson treasurer A memorial service was held for Mrs. Hattie Philp and out of town guest Mrs. Eugene Halling of Orient attended lunch followed.

The Plover Mary Margaret met Monday evening in the United Methodist Church with nine members three guests and two children present. Mrs W Otto and Mrs O E Lehnus showed slides of Puerto Rico and provided a tape accompaniment. Hosts were Mrs Glenn Vanderpool and Mrs Paul Stearns. Supper guests were Mr and Mrs Earl Kerns and Mr and Mrs R T Bush at the Gerald Kerns home in Peterson for Gerald and Earl Kerns birthdays. K S K Club met Tuesday afternoon at Mrs Garth’s home.
