In a four hour civil defense exercise 1,500 Binghamton residents traveled 28 miles to Deposit N Y in one of the nation s largest drills. The test routed 372 autos and a special train with 64 simulated hospital patients 46 displaced children. Lt Gen Clarence R Huebner and Lt Gov George B DeLuca observed praising controlled group movement as safer for disaster response.
