Local golf tourney ends with Keith Chapman winner
The local golf tourney wrapped up last weekend with Keith Chapman winning the 86 holes final over Junior Eccles. Capt. Marsh Graham called his parents Dr. and Mrs. L. M. Graham from Chicago on his return from 14 months in Korea with the First Marine Air Wing. Mrs. LeRoy Miller was a patient at Mercy hospital Fort Dodge for pneumonia. Barbara Harris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Harris, received one of the first $150 alumni scholarships from Iowa State Teachers College. Mrs. Anna Pollock of Fort Dodge visited W. John Pollock. Miss Janice Burgardt, at airline communications school in Minneapolis, stayed with the Burgardt home. The dedication of the new public library and street lights, sponsored by the Greater Rolfe Club, will be held on Rolfe main streets Saturday, September 4, with Dr. Virgil Hancher delivering the main address.
