Boone Races Draw Thousands for Red Cross Benefit
About six thousand people gathered for Red Cross automobile races in Boone staged by local businessmen under the Chamber of Commerce. Receipts go to the Red Cross and to the Boone National Guard, which has been mustered into federal service. Each recipient will receive between 1600 and 1200 dollars. About a score of auto drivers entered. One accident occurred when a large Stutz car overturned, injuring two men.
