Leonard C Anderson 51 lifelong Pocahontas resident died unexpectedly from a heart attack at his home near Ware. Survived by widow Hilda Funk Anderson and children Patsy Hilda and Lawrence in the military, with siblings and in laws in Iowa communities. Services were held April 29 at Ware Methodist Church with burial at Havelock.
Memorial services were held at the Scarlet Rebekah Lodge for district 76 and 11 with Ira Miller memorial chair. Community notices describe dances at Emmetsburg Country Club, hospital returns, family birthdays, and PTA meetings plus youth awards from Sacred Heart high school and a March 22 baby in Fort Dodge.
Bradgate Progress Club hosted its first hobby show at the schoolhouse with exhibits including Mrs. Harold Lees button collection aged 20 February 16, Ferris Hundertmark’s paintings, and crafts by Agner Reese. Dr. Corweiler spoke on New Zealand and Australia as 80 attendees from nearby towns gathered for lunch and coffee.
