Sunset Hill Manor Weekly Community Activities

Sunset Hill residents hosted a Sunday worship led by Rev. Asp. A April staff meeting drew 15 employees. April birthdays for Winnie Tressler Perry Peterson Luther Thompson and Mollie Mishler were celebrated with cake and ice cream. Pink Ladies met Friday with twelve members and refreshments by Maye Paulson and Leona Wilson. Saturday featured a puppet show by five children from West Bend The Candyman Can music. Birthday Breakfast Honors Three Teens At Home

J SHIMON hosted a Friday morning birthday breakfast for Tom Shi mon and Russ Johnson who share April 22 birthdays. John Winkleblack also observed an April 14 birthday as guests from the Senior Class attended along with Mr Book and Mr Farley. A cake with photos and pennants was served before departure for school.

The April 14 Betty Alden Chapter D A R meeting at Evelyn Laws home had 11 members and one visitor. Merle Majorowicz led in ritual, Clementine North offered a prayer, and members recited patriotic pledges and songs. Alice Anderson read the President General’s message as Lottie La Dow discussed national news and fears of a third world war and U S reliance on imports.

Betty Brown and Lester Hall to wed at Little Brown Church

Mrs. Betty Brown of Rolfe and Col. Lester H. Hall of Arvada Colorado announce their marriage on Saturday April 23 1977 at The Little Brown Church Nashua Iowa. Mrs Hall is widow of S W Hap Brown who died in 1972 Col Hall was married to Leta Carter who died in 1975. After a west coast trip the couple will live in Rolfe for the summer months.
