Athletic Badge Test Honors Awarded Countywide
Seven schools and 286 boys competed in the County YMCA Feld Meet last fall directed by McDonald and Pribbenow. Laurens led individuals with 241.4 points while Lou White of Rolfe earned the overall county title with 97.56 points. Certificates will be awarded to first-place schools, weight classes, and individual champions, with badges given only to those reaching 50 points in all events of their weight class.

Clean-Up Week Planned by YMCA Boys and Intermediates
The YMCA Boy's and Intermediate Groups organize a city wide Clean-Up for April 13. District captains appoint crews to inspect premises for manure and garbage, with work starting Wednesday. Mayor Carrgli names groups as commissioners to lead and report on alleys and yards.

Mrs A F McGogney Rites Held after Pneumonia Death
Mrs A F McGogney died at her Rolfe Iowa home after a two week illness from pneumonia. Born in Pittsburg she taught school after graduating from Pittsburg College. Active in Presbyterian church work she helped found the Woman's Home Missionary Board and read a commemorative paper on its twenty fifth anniversary. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Presbyterian church with remarks by Dr Purmort and Rev Hastings among others. Burial was in Clinton cemetery and the community remembered her as a devoted helper in church and parish affairs.

Mrs Rudolfson Dies in Des Moines Township
Mrs Christen Rudolfson aged 78 died at her home in Des Moines township on April 4 after a twenty week illness triggered by a fall. Born Anna Marie Christensen in Denmark January 13 1886 she married twice and left two sons and two daughters. Funeral services were held at the Danish Lutheran church with Rev F Anderson delivering the sermon and Rev Kettle assisting. Burial followed in Clinton cemetery.

The Rolfe school board chose Prof A V Graeber of Sutherland as superintendent for next year after a large applicant field. Graeber previously led Sutherland for two years and Merrill for four, with degrees from Cedar Falls Teachers College and additional studies. He accepted the contract Tuesday evening and the board awaits staff hires.
