Annual Federated Women’s Clubs spring meeting at Fonda
The Pocahontas County Federated Women’s Clubs held their annual Spring meeting on Tuesday March 22, 1977 at the United Church of Christ in Fonda. District and county officers presided with guests from Gilmore City Laurens Rolfe and Laurens. the program featured greetings, an invocation, a flag pledge, a spring membership message, district reading reports and a spring style show.

Historical Society meets to plan museum hours and projects
The Pocahontas County Historical Society met March 21 at the county museum. They voted to keep the museum open Sundays 2 to 4 pm including Easter, seek visitor help to identify photos from Havelock and Laurens, and plan exterior work, front steps, a third railing, and removable interior updates.
