Fort Dodge Iowa July 19 a demonstration on Senator J P Dollivers farm attracted a large crowd. The Deering Harvester machine combines a four horse power gasoline engine with a field mower and can be moved like a team pulled implement. Twenty two acres were cut in nine hours with a five foot sickle. The machine is not for sale but could be marketed next season for 200 to 300 dollars. It has wide farm use including water pumping grinding feed shelling corn and churning among others. Senator Dolliver praised the work and farmers called it a grand success.
