Miller Not Guilty Former Banker Acquitted

Miller of the firm O. BD. Miller & Son, New Providence, was acquitted of fraudulent banking charges. Evidence showed most deposits after March 21, 1904 were returned and the insolvency stemmed from large overdrafts. One stock buyer account with New Providence stood overdrawn about $17,000 and was not collected.

Des Moines February 20 A district judge ruled the biennial elections amendment valid with its five divisions treated as integral parts of one proposition. Attorneys expect a supreme court appeal and aim for a prompt ruling. If overturned, time remains to implement the primary under the new law in Polk County.

Wreck on Rock Island Train near Wiota Kills Two
