Rocky Ford Fair a Great Success in Watermelon Day
Rocky Ford's fourteenth Watermelon Day drew record crowds, with an estimated fifteen thousand attendees and over a thousand La Junta visitors. The fair showcased live stock parades, bucking horses, and a new entrance, while exhibits from Manzanola and local vendors displayed fruits, vegetables, and crafts. Talks of receipts topped past years, and the community praised crowd management, train arrivals, and local advertising efforts.
