A Germantown California man chronicled relief after fourteen years of pain from ectatic rheumatism. He credits Chamberlain’s Pain Balm with immediate relief and a cure, urging others to try the liniment, available from druggists.
Santa Fe division officials finalize June 1 time card changes. A new Colorado train will operate as Colorado Flyer westbound No 0 and Missouri River Flyer eastbound No 10 with La Junta Denver legs. Westbound schedule includes 6 55 pm Kansas City departure and 3 15 pm Denver arrival. The train will offer breakfast in La Junta and cafe car lunch between Pueblo and Denver, with faster service overall.
The Aldermen met Monday with Mayor Smith presiding. They declined Dr Hereford’s health inspectorship, debated hose house site on railway ground, and approved numerous prior bills. They elected Dr Kendig health officer at 400 yearly and planned bridge repairs along Rocky Ford ditch.
City board of aldermen reconvened as a board of health to debate amending the vaccination order for school children. The proposal would shift the window from within the last two years to seven years, sparking friction among Aldermen Kennedy Daring Hall Hickox and others. A motion to lay the resolution over 30 days passed with Alds. Hickox Hall Roth aye and Kennedy Daring nay. Also notes Navajo Indians camping near Rocky Fort and local developments in telephone service and small business activity.
