Rocky Ford community weighs Fourth of July and water needs
A townwide canvass finds Rocky Ford does not want a Fourth of July celebration this year. The piece notes plans for G A R encampment, Watermelon Day, and debates on artesian wells, water supply from underflow, Carnegie library support, and local government matters including saloon licenses, health officer appointment, and a new Retail Grocers and Butchers Association.
