Ed E Swink Is Laid To Rest In Valley View Cemetery
Funeral services for Edward Ellsworth Swink, son of ex Senator Swink, followed a large gathering of relatives and friends. Born March 4 1869 in Schuyler county Illinois he lived much of his life near Rocky Ford. He married Roxie Comer on October 24 1894 and had a son Walter. Swink joined the Methodist church in 1892 and remained active in church life despite illness. He died March 2 1907 after a prolonged decline and is remembered for his conscientious character and faith.
