Santa Claus leaves Icetown in Bluezero state for his annual trip carrying toys and Christmas presents and a happy heart. The holiday spectacle highlights community cheer and seasonal gifts.
A local shop invites families to view its Christmas display featuring presents to amuse instruct and dress goods. The ad assures care for children visiting and promises shouts of joy when they return home with well chosen holiday items.
Young and Mathis urge Arkansas Valley cantaloupe growers to use Eden Gem seed for purity and high yields. They announce offices in Rocky Ford opening December 1 and plan visits by C. H. Mathis to counsel on picking and packing to maintain quality. They seek contracts for 1906 to meet peak trade from May to October.
H Woods of Chicago reported to the Enterprise his business totals from last season. He handled the output of several associations including Kouns Party Newdale Capitol Hill and Bent County in the valley last year.
The Rocky Ford Melon Growers Association reports totals for the season: 295 total cars shipped with 5 729 standard crates and 38 651 pony crates, gross sales 198 246.95, expenses 68 430.31, commission 24 395.89, net returns to growers 103 587.18. A letter to the editor questions whether two thirds of the crop to New York and Pittsburg was warranted, cites crate costs, and defends full public disclosure of figures.
