Train Collision At Station Delays Crossing
An 8:30 a.m. train nearly collided with a double team and bicycle rider Ed Weist at a station crossing. The rider was dusty but escaped unharmed as workers backed the team away just before the locomotive arrived. Ringett Sherman reports his son H C lost a left foot in a Grand Junction railway mishap, the fourth serious injury on that side. Henry jokes about the left side being unlucky and plans to quit railroading.
