J H Logan escaped serious harm after his buggy overturned when his horse bolted at an automobile driven by Bernard Wohler of Grandview. The horse collided with a wire fence, Buggy damaged, Logan bruised but released and quickly on his feet. Wohler freed him from beneath the wreck.

Lightning hits farm barn and nearby home in San Dale area
A Sunday evening thunderstorm struck the Lane B. Osborn farm at San Dale junction, burning the barn and destroying farming equipment, hay, barley, and chickens valued around $600 with $200 insured.
